Pros: 1. Material quality of
"Pros: 1. Material quality of the side brackets and T-rail cross braces is very good. Cons: 1. The angle on the side brackets was under-formed (should have been 90 degrees, but was only about 87 degrees. This caused the assembly to not make up as intended. The side brackets could not be made up to the tent once the cross braces were bolted to the side brackets. Likewise, the bolts for the cross braces were too short to make up the side braces if the side brackets were bolted to the tent first. I was only able to remedy the problem by cold forming a section of each end of the side brackets to the correct 90 degrees with a 2 lb sledge hammer. 2. There were no written instructions, or list of materials, included in the package at all. 3. The package did not include any t-bolts for attaching anything to the cross braces (to actually make use of the rack). I ended up sourcing those elsewhere since San Hima doesn’t seem to offer those for sale as accessories. 4. M6 T-bolts would have also been a better choice for the assembly hardware, than the square head nuts and very short M6 bolts that were included in the kit. 5. The website includes no dimensional specifications for the t-rails, or even a list of materials provided in the kit. It would have been helpful to know what I was, and wasn’t, getting in the kit before it arrived. That way I could have sourced the other items I needed at the same time, rather than having to wait until I received the kit to see what else I needed. Ultimately I was able to get the kit to work for what I needed, but that took a lot more time, effort, and materials, than it should have."
