Looks Good, But Isn't
"We have a 23'Family on road caravan and purchased the 22'-24' option. While the design has a lot going for it, and the price is very competative, I would not recommed one of these to any prospective purchaser because: 1. It does not fit. Previous covers have come down to mid way on the tyres and this one barely covers the van body as the design does not allow for an awning or the usual roof top ancillaries such as an AC, multiple hatches and TV antenna etc. 2. There are no instructions. I know it should not be difficult, but the fastening staps are of different lengths to attach to specific parts of the cover. It took a while to realise this and a lot of wasted time and frustration as they must also be attached in a specific orientation. We are still unsure as to what the 2 extra long ones are for as they do not appear in any of the pictures. Also, you need to undo all of the zips in order to get the cover over the van but we now cannot do 2 of them up because it is such a tight fit. In reality, this cover might suit a 20' van but does not fit our 23' one despite it being advertised to do so. 3. The material is thin and easily torn. Ours split in 2 places during installation. One over the roll up awning and another over the edge of a rear window cover. This was caused by the extreme tightness of the fit and means we cannot return it. The quality of the snap fasteners is also very flimsy and will likely break off in a strong wind. 4. Given all of the above, it it lasts a year I will be surprised. Admittedly, it was 60% cheaper than a CAMEC one but our CAMEC one lasted over 5 years so it is not a bargain or a worthwhile purchase. When it falls apart, we will be replacing it with a hay stack tarp, as we should have done this time but was suckered by the promise of an easy to install - all over fit, low maintenance, and price saving. In our case, it turned out to be none of these things."
